The Ten Cherubs
Another important part of the statuary's fragments on which the Three Cherubs were mounted, is now fixed to the south wall of the tower in the baptistery, the angels are also now kept here. The writing in the centre is Hebrew for Jehovah and the faces of the ten cherubs are thought to be the sculpted likeness of Grinling Gibbons' own children. The top of the door that was once the Tower entrance, can just be seen in this picture to the lower right corner.
